Christmas at last

We spent this Christmas at home since traveling was not an option. We had fun Christmas Eve reading stories and setting stuff out for Santa. The kids were quite excited about seeing Santa so when we put them to bed they didn't stay. Every two minutes they got out to come and see Santa. Jeremy finally resorted to a Nelson family tradition which I am sure makes his dad proud. When Christmas morning came Jer and I were the most excited and got up at 6. Then we went in at 7 to get the kids up and Cadi didn't want to get out of bed. Once we got to the frontroom the excitement came back and it was great to see their eyes light up and the happiness on their faces. Peter made sure everyone had something to open. He opened most of Ginny's presents also. They loved everything and played with everything. Peter keeps saying that Santa forgot to drop something off, Ginny. We are still waiting for that present but hopefully soon enough.

Getting ready for Christmas

Cadi had a great time using Mommy's stamps and writing her first letter to Santa.

Peter enjoyed it too. Believe it or not this is his happy face sometimes, well at least when it comes to taking pictures.

Decorating the Christmas Tree for FHE was so much fun. The ornaments went by the color of light that matched and we used Daddy's star from his mission, a cardboard Crush star, what could be better. It was a great way to start off the Christmas season.

Yellowstone

We also went camping in Yellowstone after my sister got home from her mission. It was a beautiful drive and the kids actually had fun getting there as well as being there. They loved looking for and seeing all the animals. But Cadinces favorite things were the big sticks (bare trees) that were everywhere. And the new phrase learned from this summers adventures is, "Family Vacation!"

Summertime Camping

This summer we went camping up Logan Canyon with some family. Peter was apprehensive about the dirt at first but after a while he was a little boy in the mountains getting dirty and enjoying the outdoors. Cadi loved it, she went to bed when the sun went down and played with the flashlight in the tent for quite a while before she fell alseep. Peter didn't adjust to tent sleeping so luckily it was only one night of camping this time.
